How do I know if cosmetic dentistry is right for me?

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your smile, cosmetic dentistry may be right for you. We can fix chips, cracks, discolorations, gaps, and misalignments through cosmetic dentistry and give you a beautiful smile you will want to show to the world. The first step is to schedule a consultation at our practice so that we can help you decide which procedures are right for you.

How can porcelain veneers improve my smile?

Porcelain veneers can be used to fix a variety of dental imperfections, including chips, cracks, and discolorations. We can also use porcelain veneers to fix small gaps and minor misalignments.

What are the benefits of dental implants for tooth replacement?

Traditional tooth replacement options include dental bridges, which rely on surrounding teeth for support, and dentures, which are removable and tend to slip out of place. Dental implants take the place of the natural tooth root and act as anchors for artificial teeth, providing fully functional and natural looking tooth replacement. Dental implants can last a lifetime, and replacement teeth require only the same daily care of natural teeth.

What is prosthodontics?

One of the nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association, prosthodontics involves the diagnosis and treatment of functional and aesthetic dental problems. Prosthodontic treatment corrects stained, chipped, worn, broken, and missing teeth with natural looking restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, dental implants, and dentures. It also corrects bite issues and provides the proper contour to all fixed and removable prostheses.

Why should I choose a prosthodontist for my dental care?

Prosthodontists receive two to three years of specialized training after completing dental school and have the skill and experience to treat all of your dental needs, with a special emphasis on cosmetic, reconstructive, and implant dentistry. Only 2 percent of America’s dentists are prosthodontists, and we are proud to have Dr. Tsatsaronis, an experienced prosthodontist, at Distinctive Dental Arts.

Why should I choose a dental practice with an on-site ceramist?

One of the biggest advantages to having a dental laboratory in our office is that our doctor, ceramist, and patient can work together to achieve an outstanding cosmetic result. Instead of sending impressions and the dentist’s instructions to a ceramist at an outside laboratory, our on-site ceramist is able to meet with patients during their visit and evaluate their skin tone, facial shape, and, most importantly, their individual expectations. Because of this, we are able to provide the most precise aesthetic result.

What can I do to maintain dental health?

General dental care, including regular professional examinations and cleanings help ensure the health of your teeth, as well as the supporting tissues and bone. We encourage you to maintain a dental health regimen at home and visit us for periodic examinations, and we will provide you with an ongoing dental health maintenance program.
